Lauri Stewart
Lauri Stewart is a lawyer with almost fifteen years experience in the areas of immigration, citizenship, administrative, human rights and constitutional law.
Raised and educated in West Gippsland, country Victoria, Lauri and her young family returned to the area from metropolitan Melbourne, to be closer to their extended family. Lauri has experience in both the private and non-for-profit sector, having previously worked at Clothier Anderson and Associates and Refugee Legal (formerly RILC). She has represented clients at all levels of the immigration process: lodging the initial application at the Department; appearing before Tribunals; instructing at the Federal Circuit Court of Australia and the Federal Court of Australia; and filing applications in the High Court of Australia.
Before having children, Lauri enjoyed travelling, playing basketball and watching sports. She now spends a large portion of her "spare time" listening to the Frozen and Frozen II soundtracks and picking up Lego pieces before they get stood on.
